The preferred ZIP name is VT_BMPS.ZIP. These files are all from original photography, and they are all copyright 1994 by PTD. Individuals may use these as "wallpaper" on their computers, with no charge, no obligation, and no guilt! All other uses, including (but not limited to) advertising, inclusion in other software, or disk distribution, require written permission in advance, and payment (details on request). The pictures are all taken from 24 bit Kodak PhotoCD files. They were edited with Z-Soft PhotoFinish, and reduced to 256 colors. I did very little editing, other than "Auto Enhance", which does a nice job of fixing brightness, contrast, and saturation. On picture #06, I used a special filter (in PhotoFinish) for an "Impressionist" look. Also, on #04 I had to scribble some green "leaves" on top of my not-so-pretty car! You must be running Windows in a 256 color mode (or higher) to properly view these pictures! On a plain VGA card, you'll probably only have 16 colors, and the pictures will look "muddy". Try running Control Panel or Windows Setup to see if you can switch to a better resolution! If you would like copies of these pictures in the original 24 bit color, for your personal use only, please send $20 to the author (artist?). You MUST be able to use JPG files, and you MUST have 1.44M floppy disks, and you MUST have at least a one megabyte video card. I'll send "minimum loss" JPG files - they look exactly like the originals! Remember, don't order the 24 bit pictures unless you're 100% certain that you can use JPG files! If you don't know what "JPG" is, just stick with the regular 256 color BMP files - they're free, remember! Paul T. Dawson P.O. Box 682 Chincoteague, Virginia 23336 U.S.A. Thanks for reading this far - I hope you like the pictures!
